Our Community Investment Program is our opportunity to give back.

If we are to truly be a force for good, then an investment in our people and the communities that underpin our business is vital. So we have a number of partnerships that enable us to promote sociability and help people to live well.

Our Community Investment Program focuses our efforts on relevant social issues, helps us
give back to our communities and contribute to programs our people are passionate about.
We have five key areas of focus:

Building positive relationships and community resilience
Strong and resilient communities support mental and physical health, good social skills, quality
relationships and positive parenting. Deficits in these areas are the underlying causes of misuse of
food and alcohol as well as anti-social behaviour. So we continue to work with Uplifting Australia
and the Graeme Dingle Foundation, which focus on promoting wellbeing in young people and their

Building a positive drinking culture
As a responsible alcohol beverage producer we believe we have an important role to play in shaping
a responsible drinking culture. Initiatives such as DrinkWise Australia and Cheers! aim to promote a
culture where people drink for the right reasons and are sociable without causing harm to
themselves or others.

Better nutrition for all
Promoting good nutrition for all Australians is important to us at Lion. Our work with
Foodbank means we can help provide nutritious food to people who would otherwise go

Preserving our lands and natural resources
If we want to tread lightly and minimise our environmental impact then we need to invest in
our planet now and for the future. Partnering with LandCare Australia allows us to offer
grants to our farmers to help them improve the sustainability of their farms.

Engaging our people in causes they are passionate about
Everyone at Lion is encouraged to make a difference through our workplace giving program,
Lion Pride. Pre-tax donations to any of our Lion Pride charities are matched by Lion dollar
for dollar, doubling the donation and allowing us to make a very real difference to the
communities and charities we support.

We periodically review our Lion Pride charities and our current line-up includes Lifeline
Australia, Lifeline Aotearoa (NZ), Australian Cancer Research Foundation, Australian Red
Cross, Redkite and World Animal Protection.

As an example of just how much even the smallest payroll donation can achieve, a gift of
just $2 per week to Redkite can put food on the table for a family when the parent needs to
stop work to support a sick child.

We also actively encourage volunteering, and provide our people with two additional paid
annual leave days to volunteer with a community organisation.
